Where to start? Social media has turned traditional advertising on its head, no longer does the biggest wallet buy market share, it is now down to personality, charm, charisma, humour, wit and intelligence.  If you’re are not informing, educating or entertaining then you are not winning. And all of this has to be done through new mediums and platforms (ok, not that new any more) 

Obviously the skill set for social media marketing is somewhat removed from the old 'plan and buy' days of advertising. Earned loyalty is very different from bought loyalty.
